Törggele season is the best of all seasons
The days are growing shorter. The summer fades to a distant memory. Autumn is upon us. And the traditional Törggele Season begins! This ancient South Tyrolean custom takes place just after the grape harvest from early-October till late-November. It includes such authentic taste-treats as roasted “Keschtn” (chestnuts), sour kraut, bacon, homemade sausage, and of course the delicious “new wine.” No friend of South Tyrolean culture should miss this!

Our recommendation: The exciting and chaotic Fischbänke (fish benches) at the Fruit market: It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cool beer or a summery Aperol Spritz (also known as a “Veneziano”).
