Törggele season is the best of all seasons

The days are growing shorter. The summer fades to a distant memory. Autumn is upon us. And the traditional Törggele Season begins! This ancient South Tyrolean custom takes place just after the grape harvest from early-October till late-November. It includes such authentic taste-treats as roasted “Keschtn” (chestnuts), sour kraut, bacon, homemade sausage, and of course the delicious “new wine.” No friend of South Tyrolean culture should miss this!

Time for aperitifs!

You won’t have to travel far to experience typical “aperitivo italiano.” Treat yourself to an aperitif before dining in the historic “Old Town” of Bozen / Bolzano. Our recommendation: The exciting and chaotic Fischbänke (fish benches) at the Fruit market: It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cool beer or a summery Aperol Spritz (also known as a “Veneziano”). You might also want to try the best bruschetta variations. The Fischbänke have a lot to offer!
